Risonanze Italiane is a sound journey set in Italy, exploring memory, rituals, crises, and transformations. Composed entirely from recordings made in the country, it brings together everyday sounds — sometimes voices, sometimes soundscapes — that together tell the story of a shared acoustic memory. The work unfolds as a journey through birth and the vitality of everyday life, rituals and the sense of community, the crisis and silence of the pandemic, leading finally to the sea and the ticking of a clock — symbols of renewal and resilience. The result is a work built with loops and textures, creating a kind of reverberation that reflects on memory, its fragility, and the persistence of sound beyond silence. Risonanze Italiane is both an emotional reflection and an acoustic archive, giving the listener the opportunity to reconnect with sounds that are disappearing but that shape the sense of community.
